Design features and climate protection

Base and floor:

• Support beams: 90x90 mm timber located around the perimeter to distribute the load evenly
• Floors: wooden frame + wooden ladders inside and outside (prevent slipping, provide ventilation)
• Customer's foundation requirements: 4 supporting foundations, each 1400 mm wide, leveled

Walls and frame:

• External walls: 45 mm thermo-pine timber assembled using the "quad-barrel" technology for maximum rigidity.
• Internal walls: natural timber without additional cladding, finished with Tikkurila Supi eco-friendly products to protect against moisture and steam.
• Steam room (2.41×2.15×2.1 m): open benches, frame made of thermally modified pine, work surface made of linden (lower tier 500 mm, upper 600 mm)
• Dressing room/rest room: enclosed chaise lounge 500mm, wooden ladders for comfort

Roof and covering:

• Anthracite-colored bituminous shingles are a sealed coating resistant to UV radiation, hail, and temperature changes.

Climate protection:

The sauna was designed based on years of experience in harsh weather conditions. Rainwater leaks are minimized. Concealed internal barriers prevent cold air infiltration and steam from escaping. The manufacturer disclaims liability for leaks or deformations caused by improper care of untreated wood.

Installation and connection

Preparation of the base (carried out by the customer):

• 4 foundation supports, each 1400 mm wide.
• Alignment with a building level (tolerance ±5 mm)
• Recommended: concrete blocks, adjustable plastic supports or crushed stone and sand cushion with geotextile.

Electricity and oven:

• Electricity: Not included in the basic package. Cabling, panel installation, and lighting are provided by the customer through a qualified electrician.
• Oven: Not included. Only a protective floor screen with magnesite and stainless steel plate is included.
• Recommendation: for a steam room of ~6 m³, an electric or wood-burning stove with a power of 6–8 kW with a built-in thermostat is optimal

Tip: Use installers with experience working with barrel structures - this will ensure proper alignment, tight joints, and a safe launch.

Care and operation

• Monthly: airing after a session (15–20 min), wiping shelves with a damp cloth, checking ventilation valves
• Seasonal (spring/fall): inspect the roof for damage, renew the wax-oil coating inside (if necessary), clean the drains
• Annually: check the tightness of doors/windows, finish the exterior elements with Tikkurila varnish (optional)

Important: Do not use chlorine-containing products, abrasives, or high-pressure washers. Regular ventilation and timely renewal of oil coatings will extend the lifespan of the structure by 15 years.
